Dear Cass Maren, It has been brought to my attention that you have a few questions that are begging to be answered, and it is rather unlike a scholar as myself, to ignore such requests for knowledge.

Your first inquiry asks what sort of Climate graces the surface of Palurin [pal-er-in]. To put it simply, if I may, there are many more than I can list here. From the Frozen Seas to the north, to the impassable deserts to the south. I even hear tell of a strange land of giants beyond the sands, but alas none who have thus far ventured that way and ever returned. The temperate weather of my homeland upon Ronga’s gentle shores give us-

-warm and dry summers while also having cold frostbitten winters. I herald from a region known as–the Southern Marches in Fernac [vern-ace], which is south-western in terms of Ronga’s geography. Ronga [ron-gar] being, of course, a smallish island to the west of Ather [ath-err], and the rest of the world beyond. There is a very famous story that you may not have heard yet, which tells of how the Elledjhon [e-ll-ed-jon] came to conquer all of Ronga, and that is to do with the climate, in a manner.

Elledjhon camped in the luscious and ever warm springs of West Tree, which overlooked the desolation of marshland known as Fenland; which was once destroyed by the gods, but I digress. He waited at West Tree while the winter winds whipped themselves around his army and frosts soon plagued the marshes below.

Only then, when the maze of watery channels and sinkholes were frozen solid, did he march his men into the mists and to the very heart of Fenland; where the ruins of Croskin [cross-kin] lay, and ultimately to victory. For without the skulking Fen Raiders to bother their borders, Elledjhon was free to march north into Four Falls and westwards into Fernac; “Unifying” the lands and cultures of Men. I think that is all I shall utter on this matter for now, as I am certain you will learn more in due course. Yours most humbly, The Chronicler of Farcliff
